<br/>'''A few procedures for obtaining standard CAD formats and surfaces.'''
My first project with CAELinux is a comparison between Fluent, OpenFOAM, Code Saturne and experimental testing. I am an engineering student at the University of Windsor in Canada. We have a third year fluid mechanics course with an experiment on lift and drag for a simple aerofoil mounted in a wind tunnel with the necessary instrumentation (I will try to post photos). I have recorded four trials with and without the aerofoil in place (to get an estimate of the drag on the sting - the support for the aerofoil).

Contrib:BondMatt/Tracker

I plan to work my way through some Fluent tutorials using Code Saturne, OpenFOAM, and Salome and post the steps that are necessary.

  1. Complete - Laminar Pipe Flow
This tutorial (Salome, Code Saturne, and OpenFOAM) covers the creation of simple geometry, meshing, solving, and post processing for laminar flow in a pipe. This is a very simple problem with well documented theoretical and experimental solutions.

  2. Incomplete Tutorial - Turbulent Pipe Flow
This tutorial covers the creation of simple geometry, meshing, solving, and post processing for laminar flow in a pipe. This is a very simple problem with well documented theoretical and experimental solutions.
